Me no feel so good...

Ugggghhh
I felt like death when I woke up this morning...
too much crap to eat.
I won't do that again...though even when we were buying the candy, we knew that we were going to feel like crap the next morning.

Candy hangover.

I decided to get my day started and just go ahead and knock that stupid Plaster of Paris thing for 3D class out of the way. After all, we are going to be pouring our molds for the final project on Tuesday...
You can tell how excited I am.

So here are my little plaster molds....three obviously have black paint mixed in (hope that works...) one has some sea sponge and a little bit of thread (that won't show up at all...)
and that's about the extent of my creativity.
might throw some dirt in my final project or something.

These were supposed to dry in about 30 minutes to an hour.

Annnd done! They turned out pretty well...
______________

The beginnings of my dress!

This one is going to be super easy.
_________
(the pellet gun in there to hold the fabric on the table)
_______________

I took a nap around 1ish and got caught up on some rest I think.

Then I put my face on and got "Orator" for Mac to read me my CAH notes!
...while my spoiled dog got her gram'ma to rub her head.

This Deedee boy is too sweet to not love!

He was rolling around on the couch with his kong and ended up laying in that position for a while.
He is such a sweetie.
_____________

So after having enough of being bored witless,
I worked up the energy to throw on a hoodie and some slip-ons and go for a bike ride.
( これはわたしのじてんしゃです )
It was absolutely beautiful; a little windy, but the breeze helps you not get too hot.
I definitely got my heart-rate up, I haven't exercised lately since I've been so consumed with all of this school work and scholarship stuff.
I still don't know how my cousin musters up the energy every day that she does to go to school, go to work, AND workout in the mornings and at night.
She is crazy to me!

I have felt like crap for most of the day, and tonight isn't any better.
I managed to get out of bed and go with my mom to pick up some pizza, that wasn't such a good idea.
But kitty thought that it was!

She loves the sausage from the Supreme Pizza!

I still feel poopy u___u;;
But tomorrow will be better.
I am starting my new diet/exercise plan tomorrow.
I'll let you know how that goes.......
( =_____= )
It's 7:17 right now and all I feel like doing is lying in the bed.
I really hope I'm not getting sick...

Later I ended up trying to teach myself drum tablature and I'm pretty sure that I understand it now...but I'm also pretty sure that I would much rather just sit down and listen to the track over and over while I try to actually play it.

I haven't had any time to sit down and work on "Blindfolds Aside" this past week, but hopefully this week!

While I was working on that, Gracie decided to push open the door and come in for a visit!
I love my sweet kitty <3

She's so soft and fluffy!
But also long overdue for a bath....
Both of the cats are...
ONE MORE WEEK OF SCHOOL UNTIL SPRING BREAK!!

CRAZY day.

Today was really really really busy, but the good kind.
The kind that doesn't involve anything like school.

I woke up bright-eyed sand bushy-tailed promptly at 7:32 and forced myself to get up and get ready to go to tally (after my morning coffee, of course).
So I left and got to Joann's around 10 ish and took my time looking around for the right shade of red, and the right weight and feel fabric.
I finally found the perfect fabric, but of course, there is going to be a really sketchy and lack amount...because apparently that is my luck.
But I decided to run with it and make the best of it with a liner fabric instead of doubling over.

While standing in line, a woman had decided, for whatever reason, that bringing her 1 - 1 1/2 year old child to a fabric store would be a wonderful idea...but she did, and it was awful. It was screaming the ENTIRE time that it was in the store, and specifically in line when I had to stand and look at it, as it screamed, unconsoled.
The only time that it stopped screaming was when it made eye contact with me and I snarled at it (duh, I made sure the mom wasn't looking).
I don't often do that because I can imagine that things like this come with being a mom and sometimes unhappy children are just tired, but this one wasn't really unhappy, you could tell by the intervals and look on its face that it was just doing it for the pure enjoyment it got from everyone else's displeasure.

Kids these days.

So after that little adventure I made a few other stops:
I went to Guitar Center to look and see if they had gotten any cheaper drum stools...of course not.
Then I went to BAM and looked around some and found this jewel:

Nightlight: A Parody
I haven't seen or read the originals, but I almost want to suffer through it so that I can fully appreciate both this 154 page book and the RiffTrax.
The checkout girl approved, saying that what she hated most was that many people were comparing the skill level of the writer of the "Twilight" series to that of J.K. Rowling and the like. I have ready several of the Harry Potter series myself and thoroughly enjoyed her use of descriptive words and imagery, while never really getting into the whole fan-following portion of it, but I can see how that would peeve said cashier.

She told me not to waste my time with Twilight.

As if I needed someone to tell me that....haha.

After BAM I ended up going to lunch at "Mongo," which was a really cool little Mongolian/Hibachi type place where you pick your ingredients and they cook it in front of you, much like "Than's".
Very tasty, and the owner was incredibly friendly and attentive.
I love it when the owners are just as/more involved than their employees.

My delicious lunch!
Brown Rice, Broccoli, cabbage, shrimp, steak, and egg, with special secret sauce mixture, mixed by the owner!
It was very good, and the service was great.

After lunch I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to go to FSU's Mag Lab to see the World's largest magnet.
They were having a big event open to the public, so there were many children, and attractions that would not only grab the attention of a 7-year-old, but also of, say, a 20-year-old?

OWL.
YEYAH.

It was injured by a car (i think) about 35 years ago.
Apparently they can live up to 40 years in the wild and even possibly another 20 in captivity!
Amazing!

This machine was nuts...I don't remember what it was called, but it shoots X-rays like a little ray gun.

This was their super-secret-master plan.
....I couldn't understand a single thing.
All that I saw were little complicated drawings and some of the alphabet mixed in there.

And THIS....
....is the 45 TESLA Hybrid! The largest and most powerful magnet in the world!
If you multiply the space that it takes up by about 15, you'll get the amount of space that the machines take up that keep the thing cool so that it doesn't melt!

It's actually two magnets, "superconducting" and "resistant" magnets.
Very awesome...

When I got home, I attempted to take a power nap with kitty,

But I just couldn't go to sleep. And she wouldn't move from her spot (where I normally sleep).
So no nap for me u___u;;

The sky was beautiful on the way over to Dustin and Lucas's house tonight...
it was starting to really catch the colors of a rainbow, but I didn't take the picture in time!

It was so beautiful, I need to start taking my camera around with me everywhere...

We went to Wal-Mart to get some snackies to sneak into the movie...

I got Starburst, Werther's (more for my itchy throat in the coming week), Cadbury eggs (because I love them), and an AMP energy drink so that I could be giddy.
I haven't had an energy drink in years and it was nuts.
I still have half of it left.

"The Crazies" was outstanding, very gory, very intense, very suspenseful, but amazing.
So good.
Worth every penny.

I lost two $5 bets against Dustin today...
I need to stop making bets.
Apparently I'm not good at it....

Hope everyone's day was excellent!

Today was SOOPAH busy.
I got up early and had to get ready to leave to go to VSU to turn in my portfolio for scholarships and get another form signed by the dean of my major (who wasn't there and won't be back until Monday....)

So after I left the Fine Arts Building I met Dustin at the union and we chilled for a bit before he bought me delicious Nathan's hot-dog nuggets (which were amazing) because somehow I always forget my wallet.
.........
I pay him back!! I promise!
I'm not an awful person u___u

Then we still had some time before class so we stayed in/near the Camellia garden and tried to figure out how to climb this tree:

Need I say that it was pretty much impossible?
I was even wearing rubbery-soled shoes and there was NO traction to be found on that tree....
I wasn't tall enough to grab that one branch u___u

After class we walked the same way and noticed this really awkward leaning pine-tree...

It looked like it could fall over at any minute

On the way out of town my allergies kicked in and my throat was itching worse than it ever has before....I'm talking, I was ready to reach my hand in my mouth and literally scratch at my throat it was so bad...I was about to go insane.
So I went to Sonic to get a cold refreshment to soothe it.

Might I just say that the new limeade chillers are AMAZING?
They taste like those Dairy Queen Starburst treats, like an almost tingly fizzy fruitness?!
It was awesome...and thankfully made my throat feel a lot better.
____________

When I got back into town I stopped by my hairdresser's to see if she was in so that I could make an appointment for a trim.
Luckily she had someone call today and cancel their appointment for next Tuesday morning!

I'm going to try the "every couple of weeks trim" plan for my hair to try to get it to grow faster...I want my long hair back...screw the Yuna cosplay. I'll just do the Lulu cosplay.

I stopped by Belk to see if they had anything interesting or worth getting because I hadn't been in a while; some cute shoes, and the occasional top that I didn't really need, but other than that, no luck.

After I got home I took a power nap with my mom on the couch and then later we made plans to meet my dad at Applebee's.
I got the "under 550 calories" (which I'm not sure that I believe...) Peppercorn steak with boiled red potatoes and broccoli/ 2 carrots(?). They were stingy with their carrots.....
It was quite delicious.

So after we got back my mom and I sat on the couch for a bit and I tried desperately to find the perfect nude/beige/tan/cream pumps that I have been trying to find for this dress that I am going to make....
after much searching, and of course, my last resort...
I remembered about Target!
I was elated to go online and find the perfect, PERFECT shoe!
Ready to commit and buy I went back to the top of the page only to see that they were ...
OUT OF STOCK.

WHAT THE HECK.
WHY EVEN ADVERTISE IT ANYMORE?
YOU ARE SUCH A TEASE, TARGET!

But being the amazing online shopper that I am, I went straight to ebay with the brand name and found the same shoe!! Last one too!
No one has these anymore!
I was so happy that I found them...
(I know that sounds really materialistic, but I haven't bought anything in a while and it was nice to get the thing that I had been looking for very painstakingly)

So perfect!
Just a PLAIN, NUDE PUMP.
GAWWSH.
You wouldn't think that they would be that hard to find, eh?
But guess what, a girl has to be very particular about her shoes....
I had many requirements for these...so I'm glad that I found them.

Off of that subject...

I kicked off my mom's house shoes that I was wearing and Diesel immediately rethought his master plan that he always comes up with when something like this happens:
(In a deep, stupid voice)
"Ohhh doodeedoo doo doo,
I guess I'll just lay down right here for now.
This looks like a good spot."
...
As he peers out of his maniacal eyes, watching me watching him watch me.

....Just waiting to chew that shoe to shreds...
He's such a cutie.

Sooooo tomorrow, early morning Joann's trip to get my red fabric!!
I'm really looking forward to it.
I can't wait to finish this dress.

She is so gorgeous.
It's not fair.

Goodnight all!

I woke up at 7 again, reaaallly not sure why I have been doing that lately.
But I had enough time to take a nice long shower and just poot around before I had to leave to be at TU by 11:30.
I was originally going at 10:30 but my art prof. called me right as I was leaving and told me that he was going to be late.

When I got there Michael and I started cleaning the frames for the photos and then I trimmed down the large photographs to be put in the frames.
They look awesome!!
We are really excited to see them hanging at TCC.
The prof. had to take out one of each of our pictures because the frames were so expensive (and they were the cheapest ones at Michael's)
I say just buy poster frames from Wal-Mart and have more photos...that's what the people are going to be looking at anyway.

The pretty one of the flower on the left is Becca's.
So in all, I have two large self portraits from the same series, one smaller one, then two smaller self-portraits from another series, and two smaller reflective pieces.
I have recently discovered that I love photography....
But I really also don't want to be one of "those photographers" or whatever....
I would want to just take really awesome pictures that could be respected for looking cool and not have anyone think that I'm trying to be revolutionary.
I just love taking pictures that look good.

I only had to go my 3D-Design class today (for 3 hours)
and let me tell you, for getting to skip class tonight, time sure did make up for itself in my 3D class. I could have sworn that time just stopped at one point and never really started again, and then we all left early anyway.

When I got home my mom had made her delicious cheesy chicken with turnips, white rice and leftover cornbread from last night's kielbasa.
Kitty wanted some and sat in my lap while I ate.
(she's a sucker for chicken and can detect it from the other end of the house)

I didn't stay with my cousin tonight since I have so much crap to do tomorrow...
I reaaaallllly hope that it doesn't rain. It always rains on Fridays lately!

When I get to school I have to meet with one of the art directors to turn in my portfolio for the scholarships...wish me luck!
Then I am going to the union for about an hour and a half, the first hour of which Dustin will probably be there to hang out, then I'll hit the road toward Japanese, then home!
On the way back I think I'll stop by Belk and see if they have any dresses on sale.
If I can't find one that's appropriate for the TCC opening night on sale at Belk (or if I can't find one at the mall if I get a chance to go...) then I'll probably either wear my silver one that I got for christmas or something...depends on how the weather is acting at the time.

I guess I'm going to practice some Japanese work and then chill!
Probably just sit up in bed and watch some random stuff
