Rainy Days and Fridays

Last night before I went to sleep I was shown the "ManBearPig" and "Tsst" episodes of SP, they were utterly hilarious.

Both their Al Gore and Cesar were spot on, and I love it. I am very tempted to show my mom the Dog Whisperer episode, with child-advisory that is....but I think that she would appreciate the jest of it.

This is the second Friday in a row that it has decided to rain....
I really just wanted to go home yesterday after I got out of computer early because I knew that it was going to be butt-cold today AND raining, but alas, my mother is a stickler...and "Your education is important and you don't need to skip classes" or something like that...

This morning I was having another weird dream that I can't really remember right now, but it was weeeiiiirrrddd. Then woke up at 7:30!!! Because I got to bed before 1:00! I was so proud of my circadian rhythm.

This morning I left the apartment around 10 and went straight to the school instead of going to BAM or nestling down somewhere off campus.
I went to the Student Union (where there was a starbucks) and felt a sharp poking in my side as I was closing my umbrella...
it was an ALP!!
So Anna and I went to the Starbucks (that doesn't suck) across town and had a nice sit down visit there and got to have our session of rainy-days-make-us-feel-negative judging of others...let me just say that there are some interesting characters going to the Valdosta Starbucks....

Then we went back to the Student Union and met up with Dustin....
they both ended up playing hooky and skipped their classes and did something wayyy better:
HANG OUT WITH ME!
Quote of the day goes to Dustin -
Talking as if to a girl that is in our Japanese class:
"If you were a pig, I would make soup out of your haunches."
(To explain without sounding like I am making any fun of her, which I'm not, she is very ill-proportioned in that she is top heavy and has very fit legs and narrow hips.)

Apparently the Union has the worst Starbucks employees. Dustin was very upset at their service and coffee...he ordered something that they got wrong, didn't know how to make, and used decaf instead of regular...

He took his anger out on the cup...

I also got to experience the super-cleanliness of the ladies' restroom in the Union...
And now you do too!

I was quite impressed with it, and that's saying a lot from someone who doesn't hardly ever use public restrooms...I might revisit this one.

Mr. Gentleman Dustin asked one of our classmates that we saw walking in the rain if she wanted to walk under his giant umbrella:

She accepted and was very thankful. It was sweet, and it reminds me that not all gentlemen are dead.

A day in the life of our Japanese class!
That's cute little Sugako-sensei at the board.

And another 100 on my quiz!!
(That's a card that she wrote my name in katakana on)

Then during class Dustin and I noticed the significant size difference in our hands....

Need I mention the significant size different again??

On the way home some stupid (black) guys in their car didn't stop fast enough in the school zone. They had obviously had this problem before because their FRONT BUMPER WAS FALLING OFF.
Dumb jerks ran into my car and I felt it move, but luckily when I got home there was just a scratch on the end of my car that didn't even break through the paint...it will just need a home-touchup.

I hate stupid people that don't pay attention when they are driving. I can't believe that I made it all the way out of Valdosta and THIS happens in Thomasville. Geez, at least that was the only thing...it could have been way worse and I'm very blessed that it wasn't.

When I got home I sat down with my mom, had a nice hot cup of coffee, and showed her the "Tsst" episode, previously mentioned.

She loved it.

During this time, Little Elli decided that he was going to check out the fireplace...

He's so sweet

On another note,

IT'S SNOWING!!!

IN SOUTH GEORGIA!!! Can you believe it???

It was snowing REALLY heavy for a while...I'm so happy that it did!
This is the first time I'm actually seen it SNOW, I saw snow on our Wyoming vacation years ago, but I don't think it ever really snowed...
It's so beautiful!
I could eventually get used to this.

That's about all for today...I'll probably tackle my bathroom later so that I can go to Tallahassee tomorrow.

Perhaps a relaxing bath if things go well with the cleaning...
My dad is on his way home with Chick-fil-A!...which is what I ate last night...but I'm not complaining. Da's some goooood chicken.

That's about it for today's adventure.!
